I am a film critic, journalist and film expert based between Rome and London. I hold a three-year degree in film critic/journalism and a BA in foreign languages and literatures (English and Russian) at Sapienza University in Rome. I am currently studying for another BA in Communication Studies and for an MA in Tourism Strategy and Cultural Heritage. In 2023, I earned a Filmmaking certificate at MetFilm School in London. I love movies, art, literature and music and over the years have travelled around Europe collecting experiences in different fields. I have been an au-pair in Barcelona, Madrid and Augsburg and I have taken part to two European cultural exchanges, in Ireland and in Portugal. In 2019 I won a scholarship that allowed me to have a study/work experience in Malta for a month.
Since my Film Journalism course at Sentieri Selvaggi I have been able to visit several festivals (among the others, the Venice and Rome Film Festival as well as the ShorTS International Film
Festival in Trieste or the Festival del Cinema Europeo in Lecce and Visions du Réel in Switzerland and more recently Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival) and I have interviewed people from the industry in multiple languages. I am fluent in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Russian. I have a medium level of fluency in German, Portuguese and Chinese.
I am currently part of the Torino Film Festival selection board. I also work for Corto Dorico Film Festival, based in Ancona, Italy, as an assistant to the Artistic Direction, which also involves scouting and selecting films (for the National Competition and the Amnesty International Competition, among others). In 2021 I have also been selecting films for a collateral prize (involving sustainability) of the Venice Film Festival called Young&Short.
Finally, have co-founded an arts festival for young people in my hometown, called SayFestFano, that has been successfully running for four years now.
